CfIS was honored to be able to work with Sébastien Aubin and Otami Studio to design its logo. Aubin incorporated indigenous plants and symbols meaningful to the Stockbridge-Munsee Community into this logo design as a means of honoring the original stewards of the land on which Bard sits. In the Mohican language, Muh-he-con-ne-ok means “people of the waters that are never still.” To make the movement of the Mahicanituck visible, Aubin incorporated a watershed-style motion into the letter “S” in the CfIS logo.
